VersionOps 1.7.0 — Template Registry and User Catalog

Template Registry with reusable templates, user-facing catalog, selective apply with overwrite controls, and layout/branding polish.

Overview

Release 1.7.0 brings the Template Registry: teams can curate reusable application and notification sets, while org users browse a catalog, preview, and apply them with fine-grained control. This accelerates onboarding and keeps orgs consistent without manual duplication.

Highlights

  • Template catalog with categories and tags in user dashboard
  • Selective apply of applications/notifications with overwrite flags
  • Recommendations toggle during apply
  • Branding and layout polish (password reset email logo, wider admin/landing grids)

New Features

  • Template Catalog (users): Browse published templates with category/tag filters, open details, and apply whole templates or selected parts from Settings → Templates.
  • Selective apply: Overwrite flags for applications/notifications to update existing configs; recommendations toggle when applying.
  • Categories endpoint: Shared metadata for catalog/registry to keep taxonomy consistent.

Improvements

  • User catalog UI with grid cards, empty states, and apply UX improvements.
  • Password reset email now uses the product logo (no emoji).
  • Layout tuning: wider admin overview grid and adjusted landing features grid.

Breaking Changes

None.

Upgrade / Migration Notes

  • No user action needed — templates are available automatically in Settings → Templates.
  • Applying templates respects your organization scope; overwrite flags let you update existing configs when you choose.
  • Upcoming improvements: safer notification overwrite to keep delivery settings; clearer prompt when no items are selected with apply_all disabled.
